THE MAKING OF THE APHRODISIAC INSTILLATION!

It was a grueling three days but we made it happen. Before we started on this installation project we had to paint the walls from red to white. It took us a good day and a half to accomplish that. We also had a bit of a quagmire when Joey (Ed Ubeira's dog) ran out of the store and got ran over by a car. But no worries, little Joey is a trooper and he is doing very well. I would like to thank Oscar (owner of Aphrodisac,) the THRUST APPEREL CREW ( Fern and Milton,) Rashida Vasquez, K the Media, Led Black and Mr. Leopold the Visionary for the extra hands in painting and filling in. If we didn't have these extra hands we wouldn't have met our deadline, so again THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Here's some snap shots of the process we went through. Thanks to "K" for her footage.

THE SOUND OF ART PRESENTS 7/20 @ APHRODISIAC

The SOUND OF ART's 7/20, held at the newly reopened and revamped high-end clothing boutique Aphrodisiac, was a rousing success. The event's attendees, who came from all over New York City, were treated to an enchanting evening of good vibes and fine wines. The main attraction was a riveting and uniquely stylish installation courtesy of M.Tony Peralta and Ed Ubiera.

Mixtape Kings provided a DJ from their vast staple of talent to provide the grooves for the festivities. Un Chin magazine also participated in this captivated and engrossing affair. The gathered group of illustrious insiders immortalized itself by writing their respective names, messages and images on the venue's ceiling tiles turning this into a truly interactive art experience. 7/20 was an auspicious way for the SOUND OF ART to bring in the new year.
